I have been writing and performing music since I was a tadpole and finally have a forum to let others hear what I have been working on at PawnMusic.com. This desire to share all started when I hooked up with a college buddy in N.Y. at SES, we were talking about what we used to do (I still make music, mostly for the kids) both from my early days at Electric Lady to setting up shop in the basement at my home. Our friend Marty still does the music thing and they both wanted to hear what I had been up to.

Not a lot of people can say they have a recording studio in the house and I am one of the fortunate few that gets to make music purely for myself. (and now you can hear it at PawnMusic.com). Well, I really have to hand it to the new WordPress release, cool and simply intuitive. I installed the lastest release and it has really great video and audio streaming abilities, from taking the files and compressing them to listing them in the blog. Super, really.

Fast Forward, in two hours I had put up three albums worth of music, labeled and ready to listen to. More to come as I get the old files out and start to upload them to my site PawnMusic.com. If you like something you hear please feel free to flip me a few pesos for upkeep of the site and a new synthesizer

I am the first to admit that living a frugal lifestyle suits me just fine. So on Thursday, when the national average for unleaded regular gasoline hit $3.19 a gallon I went searching for better gas saving solutions. I found IncreasedMilieage.com Prices have gained about 40% since the beginning of the year, according to AAA and the U.S. Energy Department’s Energy Information Administration. With gas prices reaching all-time highs, consumers can save money by following these five off-the-beaten-track tips that I found on IncreasedMilieage.com.

1. Commute early/commute late

Hitting the road early, employees with flexible schedules can also try leaving work later. While it may be unappetizing to wait out evening traffic at the end of a long work day, it could be worth it.

In some cities, drivers can use an Internet service such as MyTraffic.com to see a specialized report about the driving conditions on a particular commute

2. Loose that SUV

Those who lease gas-guzzling sport utility vehicles may want to consider transferring their leases and switching to smaller, more efficient vehicles.

3. Plan ahead for fueling
Another cost-saving tip: Web users can compare gas prices at stations along a planned route, thanks to a service the American Automobile Association introduced earlier this year.

For example, on Thursday the online TripTik Travel Planner showed as much as a 16-cent-per-gallon price differential for regular gas at stations located within a few miles of each other in Pennsylvania. Plan a trip. (You’ll need to enter your ZIP code and then find the TripTik link under “Travel with AAA.)

4. Catch a ride with coworkers

Robert Gentile, director of Consumer Reports’ Auto Price Service, said some companies are putting up Intranet sites for employees to find colleagues living in their area who are willing to carpool. If you carpool with just one other co-worker, you save 50% on your gas bill.
Some companies also help out workers with a van pool, and by supporting bike-to-work days.

5. Down with drag
Reducing unnecessary drag that diverts engine power can also improve your fuel efficiency. One simple tip: Avoid carrying items, even empty racks, on top of your car.
Here are some more ways to save on gas, as recommended by Consumer Reports and others:

Get out of your car and walk, bike or use public transit.

Minimize driving with a cold engine by combining separate short trips into one longer trip.

Drive smoothly, avoiding hard acceleration and braking, and maintain a steady pace in top gear. Aggressive driving can lower gas mileage by 33% at highway speeds, according to FuelEconomy.gov, a government Web site.

Turn off your car rather than letting it idle for extended periods.

Keep your tires properly inflated, which can improve gas mileage by about 3.3%, according to FuelEconomy.gov.

Keep your car in good shape and well-tuned. Correcting a serious problem can improve mileage by up to 40%, according to FuelEconomy.gov.

Try to use regular gas unless the manufacturer indicates that premium is necessary.

really great and useful tips on how to save a fortune found at Increasemileage.com

What can I tell you that you don’t already know about cool pic’s of disasters and near fatalities. If it bleeds it leads in the 10 pm news and so like any citizen would, I look with a mixture of morbid fascination and awe inspired coolness when it come to checking out a good crash. Wreckzilla.com has all that and more.

With a ton of interesting car crashes and exotic wrecks Wreckzilla.com has a few new ones in store for you too. I really like the motorcycle helmet stuck in the trucks grill (he lived). Or the inverted Russian Sukhoi planes tail as it falls off mid flight.

I find that Wreckzilla.com is constantly putting up new pic’s of really interesting stuff, motorcycle crashes, celebrity dings and dents and best of all total exotic disasters. For a good time spend some time looking at great car crashes.

Nothing revives weatherworn siding, perks-up tired walls or adds a touch of style and distinction better than a new coat of paint. Painting can be an instant renovation.

Not to suggest that painting is cheap. The fact is, whether you do it yourself or hire a pro, painting involves a serious commitment of time, money and effort. You want to get it right the first time, so you won’t be back on ladders in a couple of years. I found Housecolour.com to be a wonderful source of information on choosing what type of paint, how to paint and the major obstacles to doing a good painting job.

Everybody loves Ramen and Ramen Noodles cost ten cents a package when on sale, and will feed one average person. A ramen recipe you ask? Why yes of course – everyone eats it, everyone loves it, and it’s the easiest, fastest thing to make. And it tastes especially good. Share your favorite Raumen noodle recipes with everyone at RamenBlog.com Long, chewy noodles for slurping and comforting broth for sipping, ramen is Japan’s gift to the world of fast food. It’s a dish that transcends cultural boundaries, appealing to anyone who craves a bowl of steaming comfort when hunger strikes and lots of college students.

In almost every college students apartment, you will find three things: A week’s worth of dishes, a basket full of dirty clothing that is taking over one corner of the room and a case of ramen noodles.

Ramen noodles have been an American favorite since the 1970s, but the curly noodles of fun actually started in China, long before students in America designated them as their own food group.

There are many tips and techniques within the site that will help you make the sauce to your liking. By doing it yourself you have complete control over the flavor and heat.

Please note that on the website we have lots of variations on Chile pepper water recipes and hot pepper varieties. There is also a store if you want to buy hot sauces rather than make your own Chile Pepper Water!

Using fresh peppers from the farmers market or your own garden will make high quality hot sauces. Peppers purchased from the supermarket will work as well but they may be old and are usually waxed to make them more attractive.Your hot sauce is going to improve with age. Keep the sauce in the refrigerator for at least one week prior to using it. The longer the sauce ages, the more complex the flavor will become. Properly packed hot sauce will last six to nine months unopened.

I liked it because it showed you pictures of the apartments as you went through the search list and you could easily contact the rental agency.

I found a ton of No Fee apartments which is what I was looking for in Boston and hopefull I will get a roommate to help defray some of the cost. Boston is expensive for housing and my school is no cheaper for a dorm room than an apartment in the Fenway.

Best of look in your apartment search too.
